When I founded Wearing Conscious, my primary goal was to sell secondhand clothing and accessories in a scam-free, reasonably priced shopping environment. We've since sold many pieces through the site, and secondhand is going strong!

Why improve on what works? Frankly, I love the bartering experience on Depop and Poshmark. It's rife with problems on those sites, but it's still fun.
Keep in mind, I shopped on those two platforms for several years before deciding the scams were too much for me. (Check out my YouTube channel for more info on scams I experienced!)
I still shop on eBay without incident, however. And it's fun! For Wearing Conscious, I wanted to create an exceptionally curated secondhand experience that brought back the fun of bartering and increased customer satisfaction. That's why we added a Barter feature to all secondhand listings.
How to Use the Barter Feature
All listings on the Secondhand Shop include the "Bargain for This Item!" button. When you click it, you can name your price, and a Wearing Conscious representative (me or Armando) will accept or respond with a counteroffer.
Once an agreement is reached, purchase your item for the exact amount you wanted, plus applicable shipping!
Can I Use This Bargain Feature Any Time?
The great part about the Bargain feature is that AI will take over to barter with you if we're unavailable. So you can make deals any time of day or night—maybe bundle several pieces for an even better deal.
As long as we earn back our costs, we'll sell to you, just like we would on Depop or Poshmark. The best part for you as a customer is that we don't have platform fees like Depop or Poshmark do, so we can offer lower prices for our secondhand pieces than we would be able to through those platforms.
Do I Have to Use This Feature?
The Bargain & Barter feature is for your enjoyment, but you can go ahead and buy directly for the listed price if you'd like to!
