Feeding Your Dog Flavored Yak Chews

Supervise your dog when feeding any Safe Dog Chews. Make sure fresh water is available at all times. Yak chews are high in protein, so if your dog is trying it for the first time and is sensitive to protein-rich diets, limit to less than one chew per day to prevent stomach upset. 

Yak chews start hard and become softer as dogs chew. They are safe for teething dogs and all canines with strong jaws. However, if your dogs are used to rawhide or other chews and treats that contain high sugar, acid, preservatives, and dyes, and you're worried about dental health, they may occasionally break or chip a tooth. In such cases, we recommend soaking chews in water for about 10 minutes before feeding. Soaking softens the chew, making it gentler on moderate chewers' teeth.
