As of August 20, 2026, we will no longer offer new-customer sales of Ashunta Sheriff Beauty products through our shop. Previous customers may still purchase the BlurEFX Duo using this unpublished link. However, please note that we will not be offering returns or exchanges on this product through our shop, so you would need to contact the brand directly for any issues.
The no-return policy applies only to BlurEFX Duo; all other makeup and beauty products we offer are still covered by our 30-day returns policy for unopened items.
There will be no impact on current subscribers for things we can manage directly, as we will continue to honor and fulfill all existing subscriptions. For all ongoing subscriptions, our standard return policy remains in effect, and refunds are guaranteed. However, we cannot guarantee anything that would require Ashunta Sheriff’s facilitation, such as product availability or exchanges.
Lack of Customer Service from the Brand
Here's what happened: Recently, Ashunta Sheriff shipped the wrong item to a customer, who immediately brought it to our attention and included an image of the item that was sent.
We sent an email to their fulfillment department notifying them of the issue, followed by a follow-up email with the customer’s image, and asked them to work with us to find a resolution.
Five days later, we received a message confirming that the first message had been missed because it had been sent to SPAM.
We responded, asking whether they had seen the follow-up message with the image and what their typical resolutions would be in this situation. We never received another reply of any kind.
Lack of Partnership Erodes Trust
After a week of radio silence, we decided to order another unit for the customer at our own expense. An automated message then indicated that the product was no longer in stock, despite our brand partner inventory showing that many units were still available. This gave us pause as to whether we could trust that any of the inventory we had been promised was, in fact, available to our customers at all.
We finally refunded the customer at our own expense. This was squarely a fulfillment error on Ashunta Sheriff’s part, yet they provided no answers, were unwilling to help the customer receive what they ordered, and did not work with us as we would expect from a brand partner.
While we had never experienced issues before, this clearly showed us what to expect if they were to arise in the future. It did not feel like paying customers through our shop were respected, nor were we respected as partners.
We made the logical decision to stop selling this brand through our marketplace and focus our efforts on selling our own inventory and working with brand partners who share our values.

The popular beauty brand Ashunta Sheriff was a customer favorite for its high-quality, clean-ingredient products. Like our customers, we loved its inclusivity in shades and styles, and we were happy to be supporting a Black-owned, Woman-owned brand.
As a small shop, we put our vetted product curation on par with top-quality customer service as a competitive edge we can provide our customers.
We conduct thorough research on all brands to ensure value alignment before initiating any marketplace partnership, following both shops' policies and gathering as much additional information from partner contacts as needed. Our vetting process includes reviewing ingredient lists for clean formulations, assessing ethical sourcing practices, examining company labor standards, and confirming cruelty-free or eco-friendly certifications when relevant. This approach helps us build trust and maintain transparency with our community.
While we may not yet be able to compete on steep discounts or lightning-fast shipping, we personally stand behind the quality of the products we ship and the products shipped by partner brands we select for our marketplace. We also stand behind our customer service and ability to work out quick, fair solutions.
While we regret the removal of Ashunta Sheriff Beauty products from the marketplace, we hope that this post provides clarity regarding our decision.
